Move-out cleaning checklist: room by room
Handing back the keys goes smoother when the place is spotless. Use this checklist whether you clean yourself or book a move-out clean. Every item on it is part of our move-out clean.
Before cleaning day
- Move everything out first. An empty home is faster to clean, and nothing gets missed behind boxes.
- Take out what trash and recycling you can.
- Keep the lights and water on until the clean is done.
- Sort out access: a door code or a key.
Kitchen
- Counters, sink and stovetop
- Microwave, inside and out
- Inside the oven
- Inside the fridge
- Inside the cabinets
- Cabinet and drawer fronts
- Outside of the fridge, oven and dishwasher
Bathrooms
- Toilet, tub or shower, sink and mirrors
- Tile and grout scrubbed
- Sanitized, ready for first use
Bedrooms and living areas
- Surfaces dusted
- Closets and shelves wiped out
- Inside windows
- Door frames, light switches and vents
- Baseboards
Floors and the final walkthrough
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
- Trash taken out
- Ready for the final walkthrough
What a move-out clean doesn't cover
We don't move heavy furniture, wash outside windows, or clean mold, biohazards or pest messes. Ask if you're not sure.

Each size includes some bathrooms: 1 for Studio / 1 bed, 2 for 2 and 3 bed, 3 for 4 and 5 bed, 4 for 6+ bed. Each extra bathroom adds: Move-in/out +$40.
Move-in and move-out cleans are one time, and the inside of the oven, fridge and cabinets, baseboards and inside windows are all included.
Photos of every room, when you need them
